‘Scrap NTA’, ‘Dharmendra Pradhan Must Resign’: Students Organisations Protest UGC NET Exam Cancellation

Following the cancellation of the UGC NET June 2024 examination, student organisations have criticized the move. The universities should be directed to conduct separate examinations without NET being a criterion to the PhD positions. The NTA’s capacity to guarantee impartial and secure examinations is seriously compromised by these repeated failures. The SFI Central Executive committee condemns the NTA’s mismanagement, which not only ruins the precious time, resources and energy that students have invested in preparation but also creates immense uncertainty and anxiety. This is a flagrant disregard for the aspirations of thousands of aspiring scholars who aspired to pursue careers in research and instruction,” the post further reads.
