‘Stree 2’ box office collection day 19: The Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor starrer crosses Rs 500 crore in India |

Directed by Amar Kaushik, Stree 2, the much-anticipated sequel to the 2018 hit Stree, is making waves with its impressive earnings. Bringing back the beloved original cast—Rajkummar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor, Abhishek Banerjee, Pankaj Tripathi, and Aparshakti Khurana—the film has crossed the Rs 500 crore nett milestone in India. Film trade analyst Taran Adarsh revealed the exciting news on Tuesday, highlighting the film’s continued success at the box office.
A trade analyst shared the latest buzz on Stree 2 with a tweet showcasing the film’s poster and noting its robust box office performance.“Stree 2 remains rock-steady on its third Monday, maintaining strong numbers even on a weekday. The film’s success is driven by mass circuits and single screens in tier-2 and tier-3 cities. It’s set for a smooth run through to Dussehra,” he wrote. The film’s earnings for the weekend were impressive: Friday Rs 9.25 crore, Saturday Rs 17.4 crore, Sunday Rs 22.1 crore, and Monday Rs 7.05 crore, bringing its total to Rs 509.4 crore in India.

While Stree featured a vengeful female ghost wronged in her past life, its sequel shifts the focus to a headless villain named Sarkata, who has a mysterious link to the original character.

In Stree 2, Sarkata targets women with a strong voice, abducting them as part of his sinister plan. A pivotal moment in the film features Sarkata destroying the statue of Stree, the guardian of Chanderi, symbolizing the start of his reign of terror.
