St. Patrick’s Day Breakfast back at South Boston union hall

Pols plan to pack a South Boston union hall for the annual St. Patrick’s Day Breakfast on March 17, when electeds from around the state will have a chance to crack a few jokes as they hammer down food.

Sen. Nick Collins, a South Boston Democrat, plans to host the gathering at the Ironworkers Local 7 Union Hall. Guests include U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Warren, Gov. Maura Healey, U.S. Rep. Stephen Lynch, U.S. Rep. Ayanna Pressley, Senate President Karen Spilka, Mayor Michelle Wu, and State Auditor Diana DiZoglio, among others.

“I am proud to be back where we belong, with our union brothers and sisters in labor at the Ironworkers Union Hall in South Boston,” Collins said in a statement.

NECN, NESN, Boston Neighborhood Network, and WROL Radio plan to stream the event.

Spilka last year jabbed former Gov. Charlie Baker, a Republican who had just ended his stint in the executive office, Warren took a shot at daylight savings, and DiZoglio sang Walking on Sunshine as a reference to her effort to audit the Legislature.

The event will run March 17, St. Patrick’s Day, from 9:30 a.m. to noon at Ironworkers Local 7 Hall in South Boston.
