Former Telangana and Puducherry Governor and BJP candidate from South Chennai Tamilisai Soundararajan filed her candidature for the Lok Sabha elections and said that she resigned from the governor’s post because she wanted to “work directly for the people of the state.” During the election campaign in the Koyambedu area, BJP South Chennai constituency candidate Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan had ‘Vada’ with the party workers at a stall operated by women and made payment via UPI. “This is the development we all were dreaming of. The development has reached the downtrodden level, to the street level, to the marginalised people, the women”, BJP candidate Tamilisai Soundararajan said.
