After seven years of keeping their love private, actors Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal tied the knot on Sunday. The couple married in a civil ceremony at her Bandra home in the presence of their family and close friends. Several images and videos have appeared online from their post rituals. In one such video, the bride could be seen wiping away her emotions while Jannat Vasi Lokhandwala, a close friend of Zaheer, dressed her up with a garland.
Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal were seated on a couch in the video. The newlyweds looked stunning in a traditional ivory-coloured suit, while her spouse appeared dapper in a white kurta with embroidery. They were observed donning flower garlands as Jannat conducted a ceremony and gave them a hearty embrace. The ‘Heeramandi’ actor managed to wipe her tears with a handkerchief. Sharing the video, Jannat wrote, “My brother is married. Congratulations Paa and Sona. So happy for you.”

Bollywood who’s who attended Sonakshi and Zaheer’s lavish wedding celebration at Mumbai’s Bastian restaurant, which is owned by Shilpa Shetty. The bride made her first public appearance in a deep red saree and a sindoor with her husband. The couple threw a private Mehndi party for friends and family on June 20 before the festivities on Sunday. Shatrughan and Poonam Sinha, Sonakshi’s parents, were also present for the celebration.
