Sonakshi Sinha is making headlines for her rumoured wedding with long-time beau Zaheer Iqbal. The couple is reportedly set to tie the knot on June 23, 2024. Ahead of the wedding, Sonakshi celebrated Father’s Day and shared a beautiful note for her father, Shatrughan Sinha. The Dabangg actor shared a picture with her father, where the duo can be seen laughing their hearts out.
Sharing the picture, Sonakshi called Shatrughan the ‘pillar’ of her strength and added a ‘#1 Dad’ sticker to his picture. The actress wrote, “Happy Father’s Day to my pillar of strength.” She also added three heart emojis. In the picture, Sonakshi is seen wearing a red blouse and matching pants, while the veteran actor is donning a beige suit set with a red muffler.

Last week, Shatrughan Sinha addressed Sonakshi Sinha’s wedding rumours. “I am neither confirming nor denying her wedding news. Time will tell. She will always have my blessings,” Shatrughan told The Times of India. “Sonakshi is the apple of my eye. She is my only daughter and very close to me. I am a proud father because, over the years, she has also grown as an actor. From Lootere to Dahaad to now Heeramandi, she has proved to be a fantastic actor,” he added.
“If my daughter is getting married, I will give her my blessings and support her decision and choice. Sonakshi has the right to choose her companion, and I will be the happiest father on her wedding day. I will always wish her the best… ek hi toh beti hai meri,” Shatrughan said.
Previously, Shatrughan Sinha admitted he had no knowledge of a wedding taking place. “I am being asked by people close to me why I am not aware of this supposed wedding, while the media knows about it. All I can say is, aaj kal ke bachche consent nahin lete maa-baap ke, sirf inform karte hain. We are waiting to be informed,” he told Times Now.
Meanwhile, Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal have been dating for seven years, according to their leaked wedding invite. The couple has yet to address the wedding rumours and the leaked invite.
