Congratulations! Sidhu Moosewala‘s parents welcomed a baby boy two years after they lost the renowned singer to assassination. The late singer’s father Balkaur Singh posted a picture of himself with the baby on Instagram on Sunday. In the backdrop of the image was a picture frame featuring Sidhu. Dressed in pants and a blue shirt, Singh held his baby boy close. On a table close to him was also a celebratory cake. The caption on the post read (translated from Punjabi), “With the blessings of millions of souls who love Shubhdeep, The almight has given us Shubdeep’s younger brother in our lap. With the blessings of Waheguru, the family is healthy and thankful to all the well-wishers for their immense love.”

Sidhu Moosewala’s fans swamped the comment section with immense love and heartfelt messages. They also dropped hearts and fire emojis to celebrate the news. Many called it as the late singer’s rebirth. One of the social media users wrote, “Lord please listen to my heart. Today I felt the same happiness as I felt on my son’s birthday. Millions of thanks to you Lord. Waheguru give long life to little Shubh ❤️ ❤️ 🙏🏻 🙏🏻 🙏🏻 (sic).” Another user said, “Baut baut mubarka ❤ Sidhu vaang hi nam roshan kre chota veer 🙏🏼❤️ (sic).” The third user wrote, “Waheguru may keep him happy, that little Sidhu may see the justice of his hero (sic).”
Balkaur spoke about the rumours circulating around his family last week and asked everyone not to trust them. Taking to his official Facebook account, he penned a noye in Punjabi, which read, “We are thankful to Sidhu’s fans who are concerned about our family. But we plead there are so many rumours going around about the family, they are not to be believed. Whatever news, the family will share with you all.”
Sidhu’s mother, Charan Kaur, had IVF (in vitro fertilization) therapy and was successful in becoming pregnant; the baby is expected in March, according to family sources who verified this to Tribune in February. According to the report, Charan’s uncle Chamkaur Singh of Sidhu Moosewala verified her pregnancy.
Sidhu Moosewala, a Congress activist and singer-rapper from Punjab, was shot and killed in the Mansa region of Punjab on May 29, 2022. The event happened the day after his security protection was removed as part of the state government’s effort to combat the VIP culture, led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.
