The Union Aviation Ministry has already permitted the airline to kickstart the operation in the country. However, it is yet to receive the final clearance from DGCA
In a move to enhance air travel in India, the aviation industry is gearing up to welcome a new airline called Shankh Air. The airline has been given a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the concerned authorities, which will remain valid for three years.
It has been reported that the Union Aviation Ministry has already permitted that upcoming airline to kickstart the operation in the country. However, it is yet to receve the final clearence from Directorate General of Civil Aviation’s (DGCA) before going in the air.
Routes and Sole Purpose
The Shankh Air will be the first Schedule airline to launch from the state of Uttar Pradesh. It will will hub over Lucknow and Noida, and will facilitate the passengers with a seamless flying experience.
It will connect the major cities, offering both Inter and intra-state routes, specially focusing on cities, where the demands are high with limited direct flight options.
Aircraft to be Used
According to the details available on the official website, Shankh Air will begin its operation with a brand new Boeing 737-800NG aircraft. It is a narrow-body latest-generation aircraft that is equipped with cutting-edge technology and impressive amenities.
Once the green signal is given from the concerned authorities, the airline’s maiden flight will depart from Uttar Pradesh.
