Shahid Kapoor is all set to enthral his fans with his upcoming projects. The actor leaves no stone unturned in entertaining his audience, and now he is going to share the screen space with none other than the national crush, or Bhabhi 2, Triptii Dimri. On Friday (September 13), Vishal Bhardwaj announced that he will be reuniting with Kapoor for a new film, which will also feature Triptii.
Sajid Nadiadwala’s production house, Nadiadwala Grandson, shared the exciting news on their X (formerly known as Twitter) handle. The post read, “I’m thrilled to join forces with the genius director, my dear friend @VishalBhardwaj, and the phenomenal powerhouse @shahidkapoor! It’s an honour to welcome the incredibly gifted @tripti_dimri23 to the #NGEFamily!” Excited to be part of the project, Shahid reshared the announcement post on his Instagram story and wrote, “Super pumped for this one. Can’t wait to begin… @vishalrbhardwaj @nadiadwalagrandson @tripti_dimri.”
Confirming the news, Vishal Bhardwaj expressed, “I’m thrilled to collaborate once again with the incredible Sajid Nadiadwala, one of the finest producers and a dear friend, and the gifted Shahid Kapoor, my trusted talisman. What a delight to have Triptii Dimri, India’s National Crush, add her magic to this dream team!”

It has also been revealed that the shoot of the film will begin soon. Apart from this, Shahid is set to captivate the audience with his new avatar in the upcoming film Deva. The film, which also features Pooja Hegde, will be released in theatres on February 14, 2025.
In Deva, Shahid is portraying a rebellious police officer involved in a high-profile case. As he digs deeper, he unravels a complex web of deceit and betrayal, embarking on a perilous journey of investigation. Pooja Hegde plays the leading lady in the role of a journalist. Directed by acclaimed Malayalam filmmaker Rosshan Andrrews and produced by Siddharth Roy Kapur, Deva promises an action-packed roller-coaster ride full of thrills and drama.
Triptii will next appear in the horror-comedy Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 alongside Kartik Aaryan and Vidya Balan. The film, scheduled for a Diwali 2024 release, also marks Vidya Balan’s return to the franchise, where she famously portrayed the iconic role of Manjulika in the 2007 blockbuster. Additionally, Triptii is gearing up for the Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, co-starring Rajkummar Rao. Meanwhile, Sajid Nadiadwala is currently busy with the highly-anticipated shoot of Sikandar, featuring Salman Khan and Rashmika Mandanna.
