The movie has several scenes with the fire, as it’s an important element in the story. It is also the turning point in the movie. Now action director Sham Kaushal has talked about the risks of shooting the fire scene for Om Shanti Om. Sham revealed that it was not easy and he used to get scared every day. Daily, while going on the set, he would hope that things turned out smoothly.
Further in this entertainment news, Sham Kaushal talked about the fire scene in Om Shanti Om, which was done with real fire. The action director said that at that time, the VFX technology was not so advanced. Hence, they had to use the real fire on set. For the scene, they used three cameras and had 60 people working on the scene when it was being filmed.
Sham Kaushal told Friday Talkies that he had to be extremely careful with the timing of lighting and extinguishing the fire, as even a one-of-two-second delay could prove dangerous. For the scene, it took them 4-5 days to shoot to complete it. However, he was extremely worried during those days. “These are the moments that kill you and you feel like you’re going to suffer a heart attack. I end up breaking down at times,” Sham revealed.

However, Shah Rukh Khan was quite chill while shooting such scenes. Sham recalls SRK telling him, “Paaji tension na le, main aisa nikal jaunga. (Paaji, don’t be tensed.). I will come out like this.
