Marvel announced its recent hit series, Sensational She-Hulk, is coming to an end. The popular comic officially bows out with its upcoming tenth issue. Series writer Rainbow Rowell confirmed the news. Rowell writes the series that features art from Andres Genolet. The writer has been working hard on the character over the past two-years, which began with her run in 2022’s She-Hulk #1. Now, that run is ending and there is no news on whether this end leads to a solo-series relaunch or something else. However, Rowell did hint that the decision to end the series came from editorial. Still, the writer assured fans that the series will have “an actual ending” and a mini arc coming up.
Taking to social media, Rainbow Rowell took time to thank the folks working behind the scenes on the Sensational She-Hulk series. This includes Andres, Dee, Joe, Jen, Nick, and Kaeden. The writer also shared that She-Hulk was on their personal Marvel dream list, and they feel nothing but lucky to have taken her this far. Rowell also shared that the news of the series ending was not sudden for the writer. They had time to prepare a proper ending and even give She-Hulk one last mini arc.
After posting their goodbye to X (formerly Twitter), an outpouring of love for the series from fans flooded Rowell’s feed. Many shared their disbelief that the series was ending, especially as it meant so much to so many. So many fans shared their love for the character and the direction Rowell took her that the writer expressed thanks for all the love and kind words. While they are sad to see so many lose the series, they love seeing that the audience was clearly connecting with what they did with the series.
Sensational She-Hulk
This week’s Sensational She-Hulk #9 is being dubbed a must-read by Marvel. The official synopsis reveals that this is the most explosive She-Hulk story in history. Something is coming and will have ramifications for the entire Marvel Universe. Then, July’s tenth issue will bring the series to a close while revealing the fate of She-hulk and Jack of Hearts.
