Samsung foldables launching this year
- The 2024 Galaxy Z lineup is tipped to include the Galaxy Z Fold 6, Z Fold Ultra, Z Flip 6, Z Fold FE, and Z Flip 6.
- The Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra and Z Flip 6 are tipped to come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. The former is expected to come with S Pen support.
- Interestingly, the Z Flip 6 will also get the option of an Exynos 2400 SoC in addition to the Qualcomm processor.
- This could be the first time that an Exynos chipset is being used on the foldable series as they historically shipped with a Snapdragon SoC.
- The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 could ship with a 50MP primary camera and a 12MP secondary sensor. There will be a 120Hz refresh rate on the outer screen as well.
- The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6/Fold 6 FE is tipped to come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, which debuted recently.
- The Fold 6/Fold 6 FE might feature slightly smaller display sizes.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6/ Fold 6 SE could be an entry-level offering and this will launch around September and October, which is two to three months after the flagship models. The company is targeting 200,000 to 3000,000 entry-level Galaxy Z Fold 6/FE shipments. This could divert the attention from the iPhone 16 series in September.
