Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6

• The first alleged render, shared by Reddit user UnironicallyMe37, shows the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 will have a very prominent boxy look compared to the predecessors.
• The predecessors look relatively slim and have the same boxy chassis.

• The Galaxy Z Fold 6 has sizeable bezels around the screen, which has very flat edges with no curvature on the edges. In comparison, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 also has flat edges but the screen is slightly angled toward the corners.
• The edges on the phone are quite squared off for a better grip even when using the phone for a longer duration.
• There are three camera sensors on the back panel placed separately. The new change with the Galaxy Z Fold 6 is the concentric ring-like patterns around the lenses. This matches with the live image shared by tipster Ice Universe.
• There are speaker vents and microphones are present at the top. While the volume rocker is on the right edge of the foldable.
• The promotional image shows the phone in grey colour but there will be other options at launch.

• On the other hand, the Galaxy Z Flip 6 looks identical to its predecessor. But then again, the chassis is slightly boxier as well
• We get the same cover screen on the top portion of the back panel.
• However, unlike the Motorola Razr offering, the cover screen stretches until the top panel, and the Samsung offering ends slightly until the camera sensors.
• The volume rocker and power buttons look more prominent and are present at the right edge. The power key must also function as a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
• There are dual-camera sensors on the back and these sport a metallic ring, giving the phone a contrasting look.’
• The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 is seen in the Blue colour option.

As said, beyond these minor tweaks/improvements, the design of the phones looks identical to previous generation foldables. We are yet to see how noticeable the display crease really is and how slim the foldables look when they are launched.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 are expected to debut at the Samsung Unpacked event in July 2024. We should learn about the foldables in the days to come.
