On this auspicious occasion, a photo that caught netizens’ attention was Salman Khan celebrating Ganeshotsav with none other than Maharashtra’s Chief Minister, Eknath Shinde. Salman was accompanied by his sister, Arpita Khan.
On September 15, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde shared a series of photos on his social media from the Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations. The pictures featured Salman Khan and his sister, Arpita Khan, participating in the sacred occasion. The post began with a heartwarming photo of the brother-sister duo smiling, standing with folded hands in front of the Lord Ganesha idol, seeking blessings.

Another photo showed CM Eknath Shinde presenting a bouquet to Salman Khan. In the following image, Salman is seen holding a colourful scarf, a shreefal, and a beautiful Lord Ganesha idol. Arpita Khan was also honoured with the same memento.
In the caption, the CM wrote in Marathi, “Famous actor Salman Khan visited Varsha’s residence yesterday and took the darshan of Shri Ganesh. On this occasion, he was honoured with a shawl, shreefal, bouquet, and a Shree Ganesha idol. Also, Shri Ganesh’s Aarti was performed with his auspicious hands.”
Every year, Salman and his family celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi with great enthusiasm and grandeur. The family hosts a get-together at Arpita Khan’s house to mark the festival.
On the work front, Salman Khan is gearing up for his next release, Sikandar, directed by AR Murugadoss. The movie, produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, is slated for an Eid 2025 release.
