The Indian Premier League made the revelation through a post on X, disclosing the development a day prior to CSK’s match against Royal Challengers Bangalore. The IPL’s official announcement, “Presenting @ChennaiIPL’s Captain – @Ruutu1331,” was accompanied by a photo featuring all the team captains posing with the IPL trophy.
Ruturaj Gaikwad’s Background and Achievement
Gaikwad, who has represented India in six ODIs and 19 T20s, made his debut for CSK in 2020. Since then, he has played a significant role in the team, featuring in 52 games for the five-time IPL champions. Notably, Gaikwad had a remarkable performance last year, scoring 590 runs in 16 games with a striking rate of 147.50.

Ruturaj has been an integral part of Chennai Super Kings since 2019 and has played 52 matches in IPL during this period.” The statement also expressed the team’s anticipation for the upcoming season.
