Ruslaan box office collection Day 3: Aayush Sharma starrer off to a poor start with Rs 2 crore debut weekend |

The Aayush Sharma action film ‘Ruslaan‘ hit theatres over the weekend, but sadly failed to hit the mark at the box office.
The film, which opened to a Rs 55 lakh collection, saw little growth at the box office, on Saturday and Sunday. ‘Ruslaan’, which earned an estimated Rs 75 lakh on day 2, ended its first weekend with a collection of Rs 79 lakh, thus taking its overall total to an estimated Rs 2.09 crore, according to early estimates on sanilk.com.
The film actioner, which recorded just around 7.78% occupancy, failed to cross the Rs 1 crore mark on a daily basis.
Directed by Karan Butani, Ruslaan stars Aayush in the lead with Sushrii Shreya Mishraa, Jagapati Babu, and Vidya Malvade in key roles.

According to reports, the film faced competition from the Ajay Devgn starrer Maidaan, which emerged as the highest-earning film of the weekend, earning an estimated Rs 4.15 crore at the box office on its third weekend.
While Ruslaan came in second, the Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff starrer ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ came in third.
Although the Aayush starrer opened to good reviews and even received the backing of Salman Khan, it still managed to only rake in Rs 2 crore, of its Rs 20 crore budget. Interestingly, this is Aayush’s poorest-performing film to date. His films’ Love Yatri’ and ‘Antim’ recorded higher box office openings. While his debut film earned Rs 2 crore on its opening day, Antim made a splash by collecting Rs 5 on day 1.
