Unlike its competition, such as the Jawa 42 Bobber and Perak, Royal Enfield’s Goan Classic will come equipped with a pillion seat, giving it a practical edge for two-up riding.
Royal Enfield is all set to introduce the Goan Classic 350, its fifth motorcycle built on the popular J-series platform, by the end of November, as per Autocar.
Recently, it was spied testing again. The spy shots have been leaked online.
Following the Meteor, Classic, Hunter, and Bullet, this new model will bring a fresh, bobber-style design with a bit of Goan flair to the mix. The Goan Classic 350 shares much of its foundation with the Classic 350, promising a funky twist on a familiar favourite.
Under the tank, the Goan Classic 350 features the same 349cc single-cylinder engine used across RE’s 350 range, delivering around 20 bhp and 27 Nm of torque. The bike will likely share its main frame with the Classic 350, but expect unique styling elements, paint schemes, and a different riding stance.
Spy shots by Rushlane suggest that unlike other bobbers, such as the Jawa 42 Bobber and Perak, Royal Enfield’s Goan Classic 350 will come with a pillion seat, making it more practical. The passenger setup, similar to the ones seen on the Shotgun and Classic 650 Twin, will attach to the rider’s scooped-out seat, enhancing its functionality compared to other bobbers. Besides these, it is also seen sporting a tall windshield.
Furthermore, the Goan Classic will boast vibrant colour choices and distinct design details, including rare whitewall tyres. Spy shots suggest most models will come with wire-spoke wheels, but Royal Enfield might also offer alloy wheels as an option for a more modern touch.
Currently, the Classic 350 is priced between Rs 1.93 lakh and Rs 2.30 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom), and the Goan Classic is expected to be in a similar price range, with higher-end variants possibly exceeding the Rs 2.30 lakh mark.
