The two actors were terminated because of their unprofessional behaviour. The official statement from Rajan Shahi and Directors Kut Production said that Shehzada mistreated the staff since the first day and Pratiksha was not good at her work. Various reports stated that Shehzada and Pratiksha were in love and Pratiksha blindly followed the way Shehzada misbehaved. She also threw tantrums on sets just like Shehzada.

It was also said that they spent a lot of time in the makeup room together and this caused delays in the shoot. Post that, the makers announced Rohit Purohit and Garvita Sadhwani as Armaan and Ruhi/Roohi. Now, Rohit Purohit has opened up for the first time about being compared to Shehzada Dhami.

He spoke to Etimes and said that comparisons are bound to happen when one replaces a lead actor in a popular show. But Rohit does not feel pressurised because of his extensive experience of the industry and he has confidence in his craft. He said that he knows people and the makers have a lot of expectation from him and he will make sure he gives his best and is accepted as Armaan Poddar.
He said that the audience first connects with the character and then the actor and he does not see replacing someone a challenge because he has learnt the importance of staying true to the character. Rohit believes if he does that then the audience will connect with him and he will make a place in their hearts.
Rohit further spoke about working with Rajan Shahi. He said that everyone wants to work with Rajan Shahi and he is thrilled to be associated with him. He shared that the audience has a deep connection with Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai and have loved the characters of the show over the years.

Rohit feels he was destined to be a part of Rajan Shahi’s team. He also revealed that when he was called for the mock shoot he was not told that it was for Armaan’s role in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. He was told it was for a new show. Rohit went to give his best shot and was selected.
