Vikrant Massey surprised everyone with his decision to step away from films, leaving fans curious about the sudden shift in his career. The actor, known for impressive performances in projects like 12th Fail, Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba, Sector 36, and The Sabarmati Report, has hinted at returning if the right opportunity comes along. While Vikrant hasn’t shared details about his decision, a director who has worked with him offered insights into what might have led to his retirement.
The director told India Today, “Vikrant doesn’t want to spread himself too thin. He has been flooded with offers from OTT and movies. His fear is that he is over exposing himself and the audience might soon be tired of him. He’s often expressed this worry in his conversations about doing too many films and tiring his audience out. So it’s a brave decision to take a break and give yourself some time. Why not?”
Another industry insider suggested that Vikrant Massey’s decision might be part of a strategy to reinvent himself. According to the source, Vikrant is likely to play a negative lead in the upcoming Don 3 by Excel Entertainment. The insider added, “This break could be his way of preparing for a fresh relaunch with a completely new look and style. Vikrant has always been a thoughtful actor who doesn’t make superficial choices, so this pause might be connected to his role in Don 3.”
