Renowned Fashion Journalist Teri Agins to Kick Off Inaugural TFL Showcase in NYC

The Fashioneering Lab is thrilled to announce that esteemed fashion journalist Teri Agins will kick off the inaugural TFL Showcase in New York City June 11, 2024.

Teri Agins, an award-winning journalist, lecturer, consultant, and former senior special writer and “Ask Teri” columnist at The Wall Street Journal, will engage in a private cocktail reception and discussion with Elizabeth Henries, TFL Executive in Residence and Advocate for Legal Excellence in Luxury Fashion and Sustainability. Their discussion, titled “Navigating New Norms: Fashion’s Regulatory Revolution,” will explore the sweeping new regulations reshaping the fashion industry.

Agins is renowned for her extensive contributions to fashion journalism, having developed and covered the fashion industry beat at The Wall Street Journal for 30 years. She is the author of “Hijacking the Runway: How Celebrities Are Stealing the Spotlight from Fashion Designers” (2014) and “The End of Fashion: How Marketing Changed the Clothing Business Forever” (1999). Her work has appeared in The New York Times, Vogue, Essence, O Magazine, Town & Country, Allure, Elle, Fortune, and Harper’s Bazaar. During the private kick-off event, Elizabeth Henries, TFL Executive in Residence and Advocate for Legal Excellence in Luxury Fashion and Sustainability, will provide her insights on the evolving legal landscape affecting the fashion industry. This will be the first of two private receptions during the TFL Showcase. On June 13 The Fashioneering Lab’s Executive in Residence and Textile scholar Lesli Robertson will sit down with Haute Couture Designer Vaishali Shandangule for Threading Tradition: Vaishali Shandangule on Sustainable Haute Couture.
