Salaam-e-Ishq is a remake of this Hollywood film
Salaam-e-Ishq was a remake of the 2003 Hollywood film ‘Love Actually’. Salman Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Anil Kapoor, Juhi Chawla, Govinda, Akshay Khanna, Ayesha Takia, Sohail Khan, Isha Koppikar, John Abraham, Vidya Balan, and South African actress Shannon Esra along with 30 other stars played pivotal characters in this romantic drama.
Here’s why Salaam-e-Ishq flopped
Salaam-e-Ishq revolved around six love stories and all of them run parallel to each other. Also, all the six stories were interconnected. Firstly, the audience found the story complicated, and secondly, by the time they connected to one story, the film would move on to the next story. As a result, the audience did not like the film. People got bored watching this three-and-a-half-hour-long film and the climax was predictable, due to which this film could not even recover half of its budget at the box office.
