In her book Rekha: The Untold Story, the actress revealed that it was Bengali superstar Biswajit Chatterjee who kissed her forcibly on screen. The actress was in a state of shock after the incident. The veteran actress revealed that she was traumatised by the incident because the actor and the director planned the kiss without her consent. It was a 5-minute long kiss for the movie Do Anjaane, and the director, Kuljit Pal, didn’t ask Biswajit to stop and went on filming.
Further in this entertainment news, at that time, Biswajit Chatterjee was 32. Rekha was so shocked that she even cried. The movie grabbed a lot of controversy, but the kissing scene was still kept in the movie. When Chatterjee was asked about it, the actor defended himself, saying that he did what the director instructed him to do. The actor justified the incident by stating how the audiences loved the scene.
