The PC Mark battery score logs the time it takes for each smartphone to drop from 100 percent to under 20 percent. The Realme Narzo 70 5G registers an impressive 14 hours and 49 minutes on the PC Mark test, while the Redmi Note 13 5G clocks 12 hours and 50 minutes on the PC Mark test. The scores suggest the Realme Narzo 70 should offer a better battery life.

Video streaming
Next up, we played the same 30 minute YouTube video on both devices at the same resolution and 50 percent brightness level to gauge the battery drain on each device. The Realme Narzo 70 registered a battery drain of 4 percent in comparison to the Redmi Note 13’s 6 percent battery drain. The Narzo 70 wins the round with a slight margin.

Gaming test
For the gaming test, we played BGMI on both devices at the same graphical settings for roughly 30 minutes each. At the end of the session, the Realme Narzo 70 registered a 9 percent battery drop, in comparison to the 8 percent battery drop on the Redmi Note 13. The Note 13 wins the round with a sight margin.

Charging speed
The Realme Narzo 70 comes with 45W fast charging support, compared to the 33W support on the Redmi Note 13, and thus should offer better charging speed. In our tests, the Narzo 70 takes around 52 minutes to recharge the device completely from 20 percent to 100 percent. The Redmi Note 13 takes around 73 minutes, to achieve the same. The Realme Narzo 70 wins this round.

Verdict
From the comparison so far, the Realme Narzo 70 5G emerges as the victor. It comes with a more enduring battery that manages to last longer compared to the Redmi Note 13 5G. On top of that, it offers decent charging speed for the segment. If battery life is non-negotiable for you in a smartphone, the Realme Narzo 70 could be the better choice.
While the Redmi Note 13 5G lost out in this comparison, the difference between both smartphones isn’t extreme and won’t affect your day-to-day usage too much. If you can manage with a comparatively slower charging speed, the Redmi Note 13 is a compelling device that delivers on other aspects like a better camera system, and higher RAM, and storage variants, which improve the longevity of the smartphone.
