Realme GT 6T vs POCO X6 Pro performance comparison: which phone packs more power?

The Realme GT 6T (review) has become a popular choice in its price segment since its launch, but it has faced stiff competition from POCO X6 Pro (review). As these are both performance-oriented smartphones that bring a lot of horsepower to the table, it becomes imperative that we test out their capability through our standard tests. We checked out the performance offered by these phones in real-world usage as well as their mettle in the benchmark test. Here’s how these phones performed.

Processor Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 SoC MediaTek Dimensity 8300 Ultra

Geekbench

The Geekbench benchmark test evaluates the processing performance of a smartphone and helps you understand how it will handle some of the more intensive tasks that require complex computing.

The Realme GT 6T outperforms the POCO X6 Pro in the Geekbench test in both single-core and multi-core tests. The Realme handset managed to get a single-core score of 1826, compared with the 1239 registered by the POCO smartphone. In the multi-core test, the Realme handset managed to grab a score of 4544, while the POCO phone could only manage to score 4189. This should give the Realme GT 6T an edge over its counterpart when completing complex tasks.

AnTuTu

The AnTuTu benchmark test evaluates a smartphone’s comprehensive performance output, including aspects such as CPU performance, GPU performance, Memory performance (RAM + storage), and UX score (user experience score).

The Realme GT 6T won this round comfortably by achieving a significantly higher score of 14,50,949 on AnTuTu compared to the POCO X6 Pro’s score of 12,99,678. This means that the Realme smartphone should be slightly more capable of handling graphically demanding tasks such as gaming, multitasking, and more.

Winner: Realme GT 6T

Throttling test

The POCO X6 Pro throttled less in our Burnout test, which puts the phone’s chipset under some strenuous load. Even under this load, the phone managed to offer 70.10 percent of its peak performance, while on the other hand, the Realme GT 6T could only manage 58.4 percent of its peak performance in the same test.

Winner: POCO X6 Pro

Gaming

The gaming performance remains more or less the same on both devices. The Realme GT 6T and POCO X6 Pro managed to run our go-to titles, namely Call of Duty and BGMI, fairly well. However, if you are wondering which smartphone is more efficient, then the Realme GT 6T wins this round marginally. The handset’s thermals rose up by a cumulative 14.7 degrees after three games (each for 30 minutes). The POCO X6 Pro, on the other hand, saw a 15.1-degree spike in its thermals after the test.

Winner: Realme GT 6T

Verdict

Overall, the Realme GT 6T emerges as a clear choice if you prioritise raw performance and efficiency. The handset outperforms the POCO X6 Pro in both synthetic benchmarks and real-world performance. However, it is more expensive than its counterpart, starting at Rs 30,999 compared to the X6 Pro’s starting price of Rs 25,499. If you want to save some money but still get decent performance, you can go for the POCO handset, but the Realme phone definitely has more to offer overall.
