Realme GT 6 launch date teased to be June 20th

Realme GT 6 could debut in India on the same day

  • Realme vice president, Chase Xu has posted the teaser video clip for the RealTALK episode 2 (the full video might air on June 3rd).
  • This video clip shows the top executive reading the ‘Realme Tech News’ paper and this shows the Realme GT 6 render along with the launch date ‘June 20th’.
  • Realme’s executive confirmed the flagship will be launching pretty soon. He was seen saying this in different languages, including Hindi, India’s national language.
  • This suggests the Realme GT 6 will be debuting in India on the same day.
  • The recently leaked retail box of the phone leaked the AI features that will be available out of the box.
  • This should make the Realme GT 6 the first phone from the brand with AI features out of the box.

Realme GT 6: what we know so far

AI features

As said, the retail box package of the Realme GT 6 has leaked recently. This revealed the AI features that will be on board at launch include the AI Smart Loop (used for text generation and summarisation), AI Night Vision (will bring improvements to night photography), AI Smart Removal (allow users to remove objects from images), and AI Smart Search (allow users to search for anything on the screen just by circling a specific part).

As with AI features on flagships like the Galaxy S24 series, no third-party app is required to take advantage of these AI features.

Hardware

The Realme GT 6 is expected to be a rebrand of the Realme GT Neo 6. The design of the phone also appears to be similar, going by the render present in the newspaper read by Chase Xu. The handset is expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset paired with Adreno GPU for graphics. For context, the Realme GT 5 came with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. This upgrade is the reason for AI inclusion.

The Realme GT 6 is expected to pack a 5,500mAh battery with 120W SuperVOOC fast charging. This is a slight downgrade considering the Realme GT 5 came with 240W and 150W SuperVOOC fast charging support and up to 5,240mAh battery.

The GT 6 could come with a 50MP Sony IMX882 primary sensor with OIS and an 8MP Sony IMX355 ultra-wide camera. The rear camera setup is similar to the Realme GT 5 but with different sensors. The Realme GT 6 is expected to come with a 32MP front camera for selfies, which is an upgrade over the 16MP shooter on the Realme GT 5.
