Realme GT 6 launch timeline tipped

  • While Realme is yet to reveal the hardware details of the phone, it is believed to be a rebrand of the Realme GT Neo 6.
  • Tipster Abhishek Yadav says the Realme GT 6 will launch next month i.e. June.
  • The markets where the phone will be launched include India, the Philippines, Poland, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Thailand, Malaysia, Mexico, Indonesia, Italy, Spain, and others.
  • Speaking with Forbes, Realme’s CEO Sky Li confirmed that besides the GT series, Realme aims to deploy its AI technologies across the entire product lineup.

This revelation comes after the live image of the retail box package of the phone surfaced online, detailing the AI features. This revealed the phone would come with AI Smart Loop, AI Night Vision, AI Smart Removal, and AI Smart Search.

Considering the Realme GT 6 is a rebrand of the GT Neo 6, here’s a recap at the latter’s specs.

Realme GT Neo 6 specifications

  • Display: Realme GT Neo 6 features a 6.78-inch FHD+ AMOLED 8T LTPO display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 6,000 nits peak brightness, HDR, and Gorilla Glass Victus protection.
  • Processor: The handset is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset paired with Adreno GPU for graphics. In comparison, the Realme GT 5 came with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor.
  • RAM/Storage: The chipset is paired with up to 16GB RAM and 1TB onboard storage. 
  • OS: Android 14-based Realme UI 5.0 custom skin out of the box.
  • Others: An IP65 rating, an in-display fingerprint sensor for security, and NFC.
  • Cameras: There is a 50MP Sony IMX882 primary sensor with OIS and an 8MP Sony IMX355 ultra-wide camera. There is a 32MP front camera for selfies.
  • Battery: The Realme GT 6 packs a 5,500mAh battery with 120W SuperVOOC fast charging technology. 

For context, the Realme GT 5 came with a variant that supports 240W SuperVOOC fast charging. This is bundled with a 4,600mAh battery. Additionally, there is a standard model with a 5,240mAh battery with 150W SuperVOOC fast charging. This suggests the Realme GT 6 will be a slight downgrade in terms of fast charging.
