Rassie joins Instagram! Posts first pics with daughters

Springboks coach Rassie Erasmus is officially in festive mode and has celebrated his time off – and, of course, more time on his hands – by joining Instagram.

The 52-year-old dedicates his first post to his three daughters, whom he shares with his ex-wife, Nicolene.

Rassie is known for his cheeky X posts, which have often landed him in hot water with World Rugby.

RASSIE JOINS IG!

In several tweets posted on Saturday, 14 December, Rassie Erasmus revealed he was enjoying some quality time with friends and family.

The Springbok coach even indulged in some boozy karaoke with Afrikaans singing sensation Radio Raps.

Rassie also revealed that he had joined Instagram. Unlike his X account, Rassie follows a few accounts on IG – his daughters and his pals.

The Boks boss even dedicated his first post to his three beautiful daughters: twins Nikki and Carli and younger sibling Janie.

He captioned the snap: “Ke Dezemba! Hope everyone is having fun”.

MORE TIME TO EMBARRASS HIS KIDS?

In the podcast Story Time with Joshua Eady last month, Rassie’s twins Nikki and Carli revealed that their dad loved to embarrass them, particularly with his dance moves.

In one particular dance clip posted in December 2021, the father-of-three revelled in his actions.

He posted: “Time to get back at my twins !! Apparently, they can embarrass anytime but parents not! Remember I am white and have no rhythm, but hell, I want to make the Gwijo Squad”.

The clip came amid Rassie’s World Rugby ban after posting scathing remarks about Australian referee Nic Berry and TMO Marius Jonker’s officiating after the Springboks test loss to the British & Irish Lions in July of that year.

When the ban ended in January 2022, Rassie’s daughters were the ones celebrating.

In a hilarious tweet, the girls thanked World Rugby for allowing their father to return to work.

The girls said: “We just want to say thank you so much for only making it two months. Honestly, thank you. We are so tired of having him at home.

“We have received enough life lessons and advice about everything. It’s enough, and I think it’s time for him to go back. We are grateful the day has arrived for him to go back to work tomorrow.”

WHEN WILL THE SPRINGBOKS PLAY AGAIN?
