Four years after the second season aired, Mirzapur 3 finally released this year. The web series, which began in 2018, quickly became one of the biggest and most loved shows in India. The Hindi crime series features an impressive cast, including Pankaj Tripathi as Kaleen Bhaiya, Ali Fazal as Guddu Pandit, Rasika Dugal as Beena Tripathi, Shweta Tripathi as Golu, and Vijay Varma in a key role. Fans were excited to see their favourite characters return to the screen in the third season.
Despite the excitement, Mirzapur 3 received mixed responses from fans and critics. While some viewers enjoyed it, others felt it didn’t meet their expectations. Rasika Dugal, who plays Beena Tripathi, shared her thoughts on the mixed response the third season received. In an interview with Hindustan Times, the actress focused on the support from loyal fans who have been with the show from the beginning. Rasika said that after three seasons, the show feels like it belongs to the fans as much as to the creators. Dugal appreciated all kinds of feedback, saying that every response, whether positive or negative, is valuable and welcome.
In July, Amazon Prime India shared photos of Rasika Dugal and Ali Fazal, which led to theories about what would happen to their characters in the next season. The pictures showed the actors in a different style which caused enthusiasm in the entertainment news world. Regarding this, Rasika Dugal expressed her fascination and heartfelt appreciation for the fans’ excitement. The Mirzapur 3 actress expressed her admiration for the way every post about the web series sparks a conversation among fans, with the photos intended to provide a stylish glimpse into Guddu and Beena’s relationship.
The announcement that Divyenndu, who portrayed the popular character Munna Tripathi, might make a comeback in a bonus episode of Mirzapur 3 was one of the biggest surprises for fans. Munna Tripathi was not part of the third season, which disappointed many viewers. However, this week saw the release of a teaser for the bonus episode. In the teaser, Munna says that his absence caused chaos, and he is returning with everything fans missed in the third season. Prime Video released the bonus episode on August 30.
