LIVERPOOL may be Steven Gerrard’s No1 love.
But he’s determined to keep a little piece of Rangers with him too.
The Reds icon enjoyed a legendary career at Anfield, but his most successful spell as boss came at Ibrox.
That was his big break, his first senior club – and he rebuilt the Gers and led them to title 55 in 2021.
It was the only league triumph of Gerrard’s career but it’s fair to say for a lifelong Red, the Light Blues also got under his skin.
So much so that he took his trusted Ibrox lieutenants Tom Culshaww, Michael Beale and Gary McAllister to Aston Villa with him.

And he then signed up ex-Rangers kitman Jim McAlister when he moved to Saudi Arabia.
They’re the emotional and personal reminders of working at Ibrox, but now Gerrard has his eyes on a physical reminder too – and he’s spied it on INSTAGRAM.
And he’s set his 11.7MILLION followers the task of sourcing it for him.
Posting on his account’s stories function he showed the special football frame of his first senior managerial club.
It included the lyrics to several popular Gers songs including the Blue Sea of Ibrox, Every Saturday We Follow and Barcelona 72.
It even includes a cheeky line ‘Let’s all laugh at Celtic’.
And when Gerrard spotted it online he reposted and wrote: “I need this picture” accompanied by a Union flag emoji.
They’re not the only songs that got under Gerrard’s skin at Ibrox either. He was spotted singing along to club anthem Simply the Best days after clinching the league title in 2021.
The post has gone down a storm with Gers fans too and one replied “He wants to come home!”
Another added: “Miss him.”
But a third may be able to help him out writing: “I’ve got this in my hall.”
Another simply said: “Just bring him back.”
Rangers was Gerrard’s most successful job, earning on average 2.15 points per game, compared to 1.18 at Aston Villa and 1.5 with Al-Ettifaq.
He bossed the club for 192 games and signed the likes of Joe Aribo, Ryan Kent, Kemar Roofe and Calvin Bassey.
But his choice of wall art may not go down too well with some of his players – even if it would be up his kitman’s street.

Among Al-Ettifaq’s squad are ex-Celtic stars Jack Hendry and Moussa Dembele – who was particularly outspoken after the recent Old Firm win for his former club last weekend.
In a pointed barb he tweeted “Why are we still playing them?” in reference to the 3-0 win.
