Ram Kapoor rules out TV comeback: “If you want to have a successful TV show…” : Bollywood News

Ram Kapoor, a household name thanks to his portrayal of Ram in Bade Acche Lagte Hain, has been one of television’s most successful actors. However, despite his continued popularity, Kapoor has no plans to return to television, opting instead for films and OTT projects. He explained his decision in a recent interview, saying that the lengthy commitments required by TV roles no longer fit his career goals.

Ram Kapoor rules out TV comeback: “If you want to have a successful TV show…”

“At the moment, no, I do not [have plans for a TV comeback],” Ram told Pinkvilla. “If you want to have a successful TV show, you get stuck doing the same role for three or four years. But now, since I’m accepted as a good, strong actor in OTT and films, I’m getting a wide variety of roles every year.”

A new space for Ram in OTT and Films
Kapoor highlighted how much he enjoys the creative freedom that comes with short-term projects in films and OTT platforms. “Each project I do is completely different from the other, and I’m loving this space. Going back to television, where I’d be playing one role for years, is something I can’t even imagine now,” he added.

After dominating the TV space for years, Ram successfully transitioned to films, appearing in projects like Karthik Calling Karthik, Agent Vinod, Student of the Year, and Udaan. His performance in these films has only enhanced his reputation as a versatile actor.

Ram Kapoor’s excitement for Yudhra
Next on the horizon for Ram Kapoor is Yudhra, an action-packed film that has fans buzzing. The movie, which releases on September 20, features an ensemble cast including Siddhant Chaturvedi, Malavika Mohanan, and Raghav Juyal. Kapoor, who plays a pivotal role, expressed his excitement about the film and its gripping trailer.

Yudhra’s trailer, which dropped last month, showcases Siddhant as the fearless Yudhra, Malavika as Nikhat, and Raghav as the formidable antagonist Shafiq. The film promises high-octane action and thrilling drama, setting the stage for an exciting cinema experience.

Ram’s journey from TV to the Big Screen
Looking back, Ram Kapoor’s transition from TV to films has been seamless. His time on shows like Bade Acche Lagte Hain helped establish him as a powerhouse actor, and his filmography since then has only expanded his range.

Produced by Ritesh Sidhwani, Farhan Akhtar, and Sudha Anukta, and directed by Ravi Udyawar, Yudhra is expected to further solidify Ram’s reputation as an actor who can command the screen across multiple genres.
