Rajpal Yadav’s UP Property Sealed by Bank Due to Non-Repayment of Loan Up to Rs 11 Crore

Central Bank of India branch manager at recently disclosed that actor Rajpal Yadav had secured a loan from the Mumbai branch. Interestingly, the actor used his property back in his hometown as a collateral for this loan.

A bank in Mumbai has moved to take control of a part of actor Rajpal Yadav’s estate in his birthplace, the district of Shahjahanpur in Uttar Pradesh. This comes as a result of Yadav’s inability to make good on his loan repayments, as stated by a representative on Wednesday. Manish Verma, the person in charge of the Shahjahanpur branch of the Central Bank of India, revealed something interesting. The actor took out a loan from their Mumbai branch, offering his hometown property as security.

Insiders close to the actor revealed that Mr. Yadav set up a production company, ‘Navrang Godavari Entertainment Limited’, under his parents’ name in 2005. Additionally, he secured a loan amounting to Rs 5 crore from the Central Bank of India’s branch located in Mumbai’s Bandra Kurla Complex.

When sealing the property, it was acknowledged the individual was still in arrears, owing an immense sum of Rs 11 crore to the bank. Consequently, on the date of August 8, the board representatives from a Mumbai-based bank embarked on a mission to seal a portion of the residential premises, located in close proximity to the dak bungalow.

The bank authorities moved so swiftly to seal off the building that residents reported the electrical appliances within were still left running. Ashok Kumar Meena, the Police Superintendent, admits that the lock-up event flew under his radar because the bank didn’t request local police support. The acclaimed actor, originating from the humble village of Kunda in the Shahjahanpur district, never misses an opportunity to visit his roots annually, as verified by his theatre guide and mentor, Jarif Malik.

Malik shared that he honed his passion for theater in Shahjahanpur between 1987 and 1992. Following this, he pursued formal education at Bharatendu Natya Akademi in Lucknow, before attaining a coveted spot at the National School of Drama in Delhi.
