Radhikka Madan is creating a niche for herself with projects like Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota, Pataakha, Angrezi Medium and Saas Bahu Aur Flamingo. The actress was last seen in Sarfira, where she played the role of Rani, and Akshay Kumar played her husband. The actress shined in her performance as a Maharashtrian woman, and being a Delhi girl, she had spent months learning the language.
In an exclusive interview with ETimes, the actress looked back at her movie Angrezi Medium which recently completed four years.She said, “I was recently showing the film to my friend as he had not seen it, and I kept on wondering if I will ever be able to do a film like that again?”
She also remembered her co-star the late Irrfan Khan, “ I was remembering Irrfan Sir. I was wondering why didn’t I speak to him more, and get things out of him. I was very quiet on the sets, and tried to give him space. I was just focusing on my character, and wanted to see him as just my father .. I thought I would have a lot of time with him to discuss movies, acting and the craft once after the film, but …he was going through so much. I never spoke unless I was spoken to .”
Radhikka would now be seen in Sanaa, which is being directed by Sudhandhu Saria and the film is currently doing the rounds of film festivals across the globe.
