Quality Street, Roses and Celebrations fans urged to ditch Tesco and Aldi for Asda

It’s official: the Christmas chocolate price wars are officially upon us.

Hot on the heels of Aldi slashing the price of Quality Street, now Asda has undercut the discount retailer with an offer of its own, not just on the purple Nestle tubs but on Roses and Celebrations tubs as well as Heroes and Swizzels.

For three days only, Asda has slashed the price of Quality Street, Celebrations, Heroes, Roses and Swizzels down to just £2.50 per tub.

The catch is that you need to be a member of Asda Rewards, the supermarket’s loyalty app scheme, in order to get the deal, and you need to buy two for £5.

Whether you’re planning on stashing them for Christmas or need some choc to hand out for Halloween, it’s an extremely good deal – on normal offer, the tubs are two for £9.

The deal is available from today but it ends on October 27, meaning you have just three days to claim it.

Morrisons has got in on the price war, offering two tubs for £6, while Aldi has Quality Street for £3.89 per tub.

But Asda’s is by far the best of the deals right now.

The Asda Rewards app also offers money back to spend in store on certain ‘star products’, as well as cashback on purchases made in certain sections – for example, spending a certain amount on baby food or fresh fruit.

This year, Quality Street buyers may also notice a change. As well as paper wrappers, at Tesco, the tubs will also be made of paper in a push for a more sustainable sweet.
