Quality Street fans warned as Asda and Sainsbury’s slash price on tins for just 13 days

Asda and Sainsbury’s shoppers have been warned they have just 13 days left to cash in on a bargain deal on Quality Street tins.

The two supermarket chains are selling giant 813g tins of the popular assorted chocolates for just £8 in the run-up to Christmas.

The tins contain a delicious selection of individually wrapped milk and dark chocolates, toffees and fruit creams, including the iconic Green Triangle and The Purple One.

Each tin contains approximately 29 servings making it ideal for sharing with friends and family over the Christmas period. But shoppers will have to be quick to bag the cheap price as the offer will be ending in less than a fortnight.

At Sainsbury’s, the deal is only available to shoppers with a Nectar card and the £8 price will be up for grabs for delivery and collection until Tuesday, December 24. If you don’t have a Nectar card then you’ll have to pay the full price of £12.

You can sign up for a Nectar card online which will allow you to collect points and access personalised offers from Sainsbury’s and its reward partners, which include Argos, British Airways and Esso.

You’ll earn one point for every £1 spent in store or online, and one point for every litre of fuel at Sainsbury’s petrol stations, when you swipe or scan your Nectar card at the checkout.

At Asda the £8 Quality Street tin is part of the supermarket’s Super Star Products, so shoppers who buy it can earn £1.50 Asda Pounds for their Cashpot. But the offer ends in 13 days on Wednesday, December 25, so shoppers don’t have long left to cash in on the reward.

You need to be signed up for Asda Rewards to earn pounds for your Cashpot and Asda says shoppers will get 10% in their Cashpot for each Star Product they buy.

Cashpot savings must be redeemed and converted into vouchers by December 31 or they will expire. Once you’ve redeemed your voucher, you have 90 days to spend it.

In an email to customers, the Asda Rewards team explained: “Your Christmas Saver is now available to spend. You can convert your Christmas Saver Cashpot into a Voucher(s) and scan on your Christmas shopping.

“If you’re shopping online, a converted voucher will automatically be taken off – so make sure you only convert it when you need it. Your Voucher can be used at the same time as a regular Cashpot Voucher.

“Your Christmas Cashpot Savings will expire at 11.59pm on 31/12/2024. Online orders must be placed before 31/12/2024 and not amended after this date.”
