On Saturday, Pushpa actor Allu Arjun was granted interim bail following his arrest in connection with stampede at the premiere of his film Pushpa 2.
On Saturday, Pushpa 2 star Allu Arjun got released from Chanchalguda prison after he was arrested in Sandhya theatre stampede case. The actor has been granted interim bail by Telangana High Court on a personal bond of Rs 50,000. His father Allu Aravind and father-in-law Kancharla Chandrasekhar Reddy arrived outside the jail during his release.
Speaking to ANI, Allu Arjun’s lawyer Ashok Reddy said,” They received an order copy from the High Court but despite that, they didn’t release the accused (Allu Arjun)…they will have to answer…this is illegal detention, we will take legal action…as of now he has been released.”

Allu Arjun was arrested and spent a night in jail following a fatal stampede that occurred during the premiere of his film Pushpa 2. The stampede happened after the actor’s appearance, resulting in the death of to 39-year-old M Revathi and leaving her nine-year-old son in critical condition.
The actor was arrested on Friday from his Jubilee Hills home in Hyderabad. Arjun alleged that the police entered his bedroom to take him into custody. A local court initially ordered the actor to a 14-day remand, and he was sent to Chanchalguda Central Jail. However, the Telangana High Court intervened and cited his right to liberty, hence, ordered his release. The court emphasised that Allu Arjun’s celebrity status did not warrant his detention.

Hyderabad police had previously filed a case against Allu Arjun, his security team and the management of Sandhya Theatre, in connection with the stampede that occurred at the theatre. However, the husband of a woman who died when fans jostled during the premiere said that he doesn’t hold the actor “responsible for the tragedy”.
Bhaskar, the woman’s husband is ready to withdraw the case. According to Tribune, he told the reporters, “Allu Arjun is not at fault for coming to the theatre. I am ready to withdraw the case.” Moreover, he wasn’t aware about Arjun’s arrest and learned about it only from the news.
