‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ which released on December 5, Thursday, has now completed its 8-day run and has left everyone shocked by proving to be this juggernaut. The film has perhaps crossed most records by a huge margin already. It had released in five languages, and shockingly, the Hindi version of the movie has performed even better than the Telugu version of the film.
After making Rs 725.8 Crore in its first week, ‘Pushpa 2’ has made Rs 36.25 crore in all languages combined on its second Friday. Out of this, Rs 27 crore has come from the Hindi version itself while Rs 7.5 crore has come from the Telugu version, according to Sacnilk. On Friday, Allu Arjun was arrested by the Hyderabad police with regards to the stampede tragedy which took place at the premiere show on December 4. A stampede situation occured at a theatre in Hyderabad and a 39-year old woman was died. Her son was left injured. Thus an FIR was filed by the victim’s husband and Allu was arrested. However, at the box office, the film has continued to remain steady and undeterred by the star’s arrest.
‘Pushpa 2’ has already crossed Rs 1000 crore worldwide but now the film’s target will remain to cross that number in India. The film has already crossed the lifetime business of ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ just in the span of 7 days. It has also crossed the lifetime business of Shah Rukh Khan starrer ‘Jawan’ just within a week.
