According to Live Law, the Punjab and Haryana High Court discarded an FIR lodged against Elvish Yadav, ruling that Yadav and his crew should refrain from glorifying violence and drug abuse on social media platforms. This was articulated by Justice Anoop Chitkara. He added, “The FIR portrays that the motive for violence was some dispute regarding popularity and content creation in which allegations were leveled against Elvish Yadav and his accomplices (sic).”

He further added, “To ensure similar violent acts are not repeated in the future, that impressionable followers do not get influenced of the misdemeanor exhibited by the accused persons and that the accused are not under the mistaken belief that such instances are taken lightly by the legal system, this court proposes to quash the FIR in question but with imposition of certain condition (sic).”

What Exactly Happened Between Elvish Yadav-Maxtern case?

Elvish was caught on tape as he ambushed and physically attacked the YouTuber Maxtern, the victory bearer of Bigg Boss OTT 2. He was not alone – a crowd was with him, all actively partaking in the brutal act. The video clearly showed Elvish stepping into the store, landing a heavy slap on Thakur, followed by a violent kick.

Sagar Thakur has reported to Gurugram’s law enforcement that he and his friends were allegedly assaulted physically by Elvish Yadav. As a result, legal actions have been initiated at the police station in Gurugram’s Sector-53 against Yadav. This case includes charges under different sections of the Indian Penal Code, ranging from rioting and participating in an illegal gathering, to inflicting harm and threatening criminally.

Elvish and his adversary have been embroiled in a heated exchange on social media platforms. Elvish argues that Maxtern has been needling him for months, even asserting threats against his family. Subsequently, Elvish nudged Sagar Thakur with a tweet reminding him about his Delhi location. This seemed to prompt Thakur to make the journey to Gurgaon. Thakur later revealed to the public an image which disclosed theirs conversation with Elvish, outlining their intended rendezvous at 12:30 PM.

On the 8th of March, Sagar revealed through a recent video that he was subjected to threats and physical abuse by Elvish. He also expressed his plans to make public a video that documented the incident by the next day. Not long after the incident occurred, the two parties involved made amends. Maxtern was even seen in the music video of the Bigg Boss OTT 2 champion.
