Another month, another month of freebies for PS Plus subscribers. This month, players can download and experience the insanity of Borderlands 3, the exhilarating on-ice action of NHL 24, and try to avoid raising suspicions in Among Us. All three of these games will be available to subscribers from July 2nd onwards.
Borderlands 3 (PS4, PS5)
If games had personalities, Borderlands would be your crazy uncle. Everything, from the story, the characters, and the setpieces, is zany, wacky and out-of-this-world. The game also offers online and split-screen co-op, making it a rarity in the current age of gaming. Once again, players have to take control of one of four vault hunters. This time around, though, players will have more control over the skills and abilities of their chosen character. Then there are the guns. Borderlands has LOTS of guns. Thanks to how it procedurally generates weapons, the game can have nearly a billion guns!
NHL 24 (PS4, PS5)
Ice hockey might not be very popular in India as compared to cricket or football, but that does not take away anything from the sport itself. NHL 24 offers players the exhilaration of the sport with a bunch of new gameplay features over its predecessors. This includes Total Skill Moves and better passing for better overall gameplay. There are also improvements to body checking that take cues from the system that was used in NHL 04. Now, players can be body-checked into benches, and there can be broken glass as well.
Among Us (PS4, PS5)
The viral sensation of 2020 is now free for PS Plus subscribers. The game is simple. You take control of a member of a crew member aboard a spaceship, and each player has a set number of tasks they need to complete. Once all tasks are completed, the players win. However, the catch is that one (or more) of the players is an imposter tasked with killing all players without being caught. It’s a game of social deduction and manipulation.
Aside from these games, PS Plus members can also claim in-game rewards for Genshin Impact with an exclusive PlayStation Bundle. Subscribers can download these rewards from the PlayStation Store from July 16 onwards.
