How to Choose a Tablet on Prime Day
A few years ago, choosing a tablet was pretty easy given that there were only a couple of brands that made them, but nowadays, all the big phone manufacturers have some form of a tablet, and some laptop and retail brands also have tablet versions. Ultimately, though, the primary choice you have to make is what sort of OS and operating system you are in, with the main choices really being Android and iOS. Some brands have their own flavor of Android, such as Amazon’s more paired-down version for its Fire tablets, so be sure to check the capabilities of any OS before you take the plunge.
Beyond that, you’ll also want to consider how you’re going to use it and if you actually need something powerful or not. For most folks that want general day-to-day use, a tablet in the $100 – $300 price range is going to be more than enough, and while more RAM is better, as long as you have at least 2-3 GB, you should be fine. On the other hand, if you want to use your tablet for creative work, such as graphics design, then you’ll want something more high-end, such as Apple’s iPad Pro, which is one of the best iPads out there. Samsung also has a couple of high-end offerings in the Galaxy Tab S9 lineup.
Also, be aware that some tablets don’t have expandable storage; what you buy is what you get, so be sure you have the right amount of storage that you need.
How We Chose These Tablet Prime Day Deals
Tablets, much like phones, tend to be quite personal to the person, and with the additional aspect of having to choose an OS, it can sometimes be a complex process when it comes to adding deals to this list. That said, we always try to have a wide selection of tablets in various price ranges so that you can find something that fits your needs while saving you some money. It goes without saying that we always do our best to scour all the big retailers to find the deals that give you the most bang for your buck so that when you find the tablet you want, you can get it for the best price possible.
