B-town wives celebrated Karwa Chauth with much love and joy, sharing beautiful moments on social media. From traditional outfits to heartwarming captions, their celebrations lit up the day. This year, however, actress Preity Zinta found herself missing her husband, Gene Goodenough, prompting her to share some nostalgic throwback pictures from previous Karwa Chauth celebrations.
Preity posted stunning images on her Instagram account, showcasing her in a lovely traditional red and golden outfit, complete with a chunni draped over her head. In one picture, she is seen posing with the aarti ki thali, while in another, she and Gene, dressed in matching traditional orange kurtas, share an adorable selfie. She captioned the post: “Happy Karwa Chauth to all those who celebrate it. ❤️💕❤️ #missyou #throwback #Ting”.
Preity Zinta and Gene Goodenough tied the knot on February 29, 2016. The couple welcomed twins, Jai and Gia, in November 2021 through surrogacy. Preity has often shared glimpses of her family life on social media, expressing gratitude for her loved ones and the joy they bring her.
On the professional front, Preity is gearing up for her return to the film industry with Rajkumar Santoshi’s upcoming project titled ‘Lahore 1947‘. The film was officially announced last October and features a talented cast that includes Shabana Azmi and Ali Fazal, alongside Sunny Deol and his son Karan Deol. This marks an exciting comeback for Preity after a hiatus from Bollywood.
In a conversation with Vogue India, Preity discussed the balancing act of career and family life. She remarked, “It’s important to focus on career, but being a woman, one also needs to realize that life is not completely fair and there is no level playing ground as the biological clock is real. People forget that for women as actors, your craft is important; you want a body of work, but family is equally important. Now that my kids are over two years old, I felt I was ready to get back to work”.
