In exciting news, actor Pooja Hegde has been roped in for director Karthik Subbaraj’s new project. Taking to X, Karthik made an announcement by sharing a picture of Pooja dressed in a saree with traditional gold jewellery. For the upcoming project, Pooja will be sharing the screen space with actor Suriya.

Taking to the micro-blogging site, Karthik announced that Pooja has been on board. He wrote, “Delighted to welcome @hegdepooja for #Suriya44. Welcome onboard #PoojaHegde #LoveLaughterWar #AKarthikSubbarajPadam.” The poster he shared resembles the one from the film’s announcement, featuring the text ‘Welcome onboard Pooja Hegde’

Pooja is seen standing near a post that appeared in the initial announcement poster. Wearing a saree, she smiles with flames in the background. This marks the first time Pooja will share the screen with Suriya.

Suriya’s film with Karthik Subbaraj

Earlier in March this year, actor Suriya also announced that he would be teaming up with Karthik for an upcoming film. The actor shared an announcement poster showing a burning vintage car. One of the trees in front had a heart carved into it, pierced by an arrow. The film’s tagline appears to be ‘Love, laughter, war.’ The yet-to-be-titled movie will feature music by Santhosh Narayanan and cinematography by Shreyaas Krishna.

Suriya was supposed to team up with director Vetrimaaran for Vaadi Vasal. However, the project went on hold indefinitely. Later he announced his second film his second film with Sudha Kongara after Soorarai Pottru, titled Puranaanooru. However, the movie got delayed as the duo wanted to make a captivating story.
