Peaky Blinders Star Paul Anderson Fined for Possession of Drugs |

Paul Anderson, best known for his role as Arthur Shelby in the hit series ‘Peaky Blinders‘, has been fined for drug possession, including crack cocaine.
The 48-year-old actor hit the headlines over Boxing Day, over charges related to class A crack cocaine, class B amphetamines, and two class C prescription substances. During the hearing at Highbury Corner magistrates court on Thursday, Anderson pleaded guilty to all four charges, leading to a total fine of £1,345, the Guardian reported.
In an attempt to mitigate the charges, Anderson’s lawyer explained the actor slips into character to please fans of the who recognise him and give him these ‘inducements’. The lawyer stated, “He was recognized that Boxing Day and tried to play up for these people. And because of the lifestyle he leads, people often give him inducements.”However, the lawyer clarified that Anderson did not engage in smoking crack cocaine and asserted, “He has found himself in an unfortunate position and should have had the strength to say no.”
The actor, who only spoke during the hearing to enter his pleas and confirm his identity and address, now faces the consequences of the legal ramifications resulting from the incident.
Reacting to the news, fans of the show drew parallels to his character in the series and said, “Paul Anderson getting busted for cocaine is the most “Arthur Shelby” thing he could probably do.”

According to the report, the actor was discovered in possession of the substances Boxing day. The police were reportedly alerted by the manager of a pub near Anderson’s residence, who claimed that crack cocaine fumes were detected in the disabled toilet after the actor had used it.
Upon arrival, the authorities found Anderson accompanied by a young man and a 17-month-old baby. Following the discovery, the actor was taken to a police station, where the substances, including crack cocaine, a wrap of amphetamines, diazepam, and pregabalin, were seized.
