Triptii Dimri, who gained widespread attention following her performance in Animal alongside Ranbir Kapoor, has quickly become one of Bollywood’s rising stars. However, her Bulbbul co-star, Parambrata Chatterjee, believes the actress still has a lot to prove in her career. At a SCREEN event, Parambrata praised Vidya Balan’s unparalleled talent while commenting on Triptii’s potential, saying, “National crushes are temporary, but class is permanent. She has miles to go.”

During the event, Parambrata ranked Vidya Balan as the most talented actress and placed Triptii last. Speaking about Triptii, he said, “She is lovely, a very nice girl, and I really get along with her. But she still has miles to go. She entered the industry very young and will learn a lot.” Parambrata also reflected on his work with Vidya in Kahaani, calling her a “class apart in whatever she does.”
Triptii Dimri Addresses Industry Expectations
While Parambrata’s comments sparked discussions, Triptii remains unfazed by the scrutiny. In a recent interview with Forbes India, she shared her approach to navigating the industry. “You can’t keep all that noise in mind. You have to follow your heart and do things that you feel are right,” she said, adding that she focuses on giving her best to every role, whether it works or not.
Breaking Free from Stereotypes
Triptii also addressed the conversations surrounding her “overtly sexualised” image, asserting her intent to explore diverse characters. “The aim is to play different characters because I don’t want to go to a set and feel bored. I want to feel challenged,” she explained. Her upcoming film, Arjun Ustara, starring Shahid Kapoor, Vikrant Massey, and Randeep Hooda, is set to showcase her versatility further.
