The popular Amazon Prime Video originals Mirzapur boasts of a large fanbase spread across the globe. While the show boasts of multiple characters with an extensive cast, let us let you know that the web-series’ actor Anjumm Shharma, who plays Sharad Shukla in the crime-drama, keeps track and is one of the biggest experts of the show. And it seems that it was his co-star Pankaj Tripathi who recognised and appreciated his impeccable knowledge of the show and even kept a special nickname for Shharma.

It seems that Pankaj Tripathi named him ‘Encyclopedia of Mirzapur’ and even the rest of the cast loved this nickname and have been pulling Shharma’s leg regarding the same. Acknowledging the same, Anjumm Shharma too took it in his stride and accepting the new title, he hilariously responded on his social media handle.
In an interview recently, Pankaj Tripathi revealed that he would often turn to Anjumm Shharma to know details of the show, “During the shoot, at times if Guru (Gurmeet Singh) is busy, I would ask Anjumm, ‘what has happened in the scene earlier’, I know, I don’t need to bother the director for it, Anjumm can answer better.” Agreeing to it, Rasika Duggal too added, “He would tell you the line is from which season, which episode, he will also tell you what was the original line in the first draft.”

Responding to his co-stars, he proudly highlighted the new title bestowed upon him through a social media repost, and he responded to their comments, saying, “Filhaal gaddi ka to pata nahin Yeh naya khitaab zaroor mil gaya ???????????????? yeh bhi theek hai (I don’t know about the throne but I have definitely got a new title. This is quite good too)”.

After a brief introduction in season one, Anjumm’s character Sharad Shukla received more prominence in the second season. Currently running the race amongst the top contenders for the Mirzapur throne, Sharad’s character graph too has witnessed a major change. Speaking of the show, the third season of Mirzapur is inching closer to release as it is slated to premiere July 5 on Amazon Prime Video.
