It is common to see multiple exciting releases across platforms almost every week. Ormax, through its half-yearly report, has given out details on which shows managed to rule the roost.

Panchayat Season 3 BEATS Heeramandi and Indian Police Force; emerges as the most watched Hindi web series in 2024’s first 6 months

As per their report, the much-loved Panchayat Season 3, streaming on Amazon Prime Video, is not just the most-watched Hindi web series but the most-watched show in India across all languages. It has a huge 28.2 million views until June 30.

Netflix’s Heeramandi got into a controversy over its performances and historical inaccuracies. But the Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial was widely consumed. It took the second spot as it had 20.3 million views.

Rohit Shetty’s action-packed show, Indian Police Force, came third with 19.5 million views. Kota Factory Season 3 has a huge fan base and it’s no surprise that it took the fourth slot with 15.7 million views. The Legend Of Hanuman, an animated series on Disney+ Hotstar, amassed 14.8 million views and thus came fifth.

9. Killer Soup (Netflix) – 9.2 million views
10. Jamnapaar (Amazon miniTV) – 9.2 million views
11. Karmma Calling (Disney+ Hotstar) – 9.1 million views
12. Raisanghani vs Raisanghani (Sony LIV) – 8.5 million views
13. Maamla Legal Hai (Netflix) – 8.1 millionviews
14. Baahubali: Crown Of Blood (Disney+ Hotstar) – 8.0 million views
15. Lootere (Disney+ Hotstar) – 8.0 million views

In the top 15 list, Disney+ Hotstar had as many as five shows. A surprise addition this year is a show on the AVOD platform Amazon miniTV – Jamnapaar – in 10th position with 9.2 million views.

The Ormax report also throws light on non-fiction Hindi shows. As expected, JioCinema’s Bigg Boss OTT S3 took the cake with 17.8 million views. This was followed by Netflix’s The Great Indian Kapil Show, which had 14.5 million views. Shark Tank India S3, on Sony LIV, continued to be popular. It accumulated 12.5 million views.
