OnePlus Nord CE4, Motorola Edge 50 Pro, and more

March had a plethora of smartphone launches from various brands like Xiaomi, Nothing, Vivo and iQOO. April is almost here with more phones in the pipeline. OnePlus will kick things off with the new OnePlus Nord CE4. The first week itself will also see Realme 12x 5G and Motorola Edge 50 Pro going official in India. 

So there’s quite a lot to look forward to from smartphone brands next month. Here’s a list of the top smartphones launching in April 2024. 

OnePlus Nord CE4

Launch date: OnePlus Nord CE4 is officially confirmed to launch in India on April 1st. 

Expected price: OnePlus Nord CE4 is expected to cost Rs 24,999 in India for the base model with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. The 8GB + 256GB variant is tipped to cost Rs 26,999.

Key specifications (expected)

  • Display: The OnePlus Nord CE4 will feature a 120Hz AMOLED display. It could be a 6.7-inch screen.  
  • Processor: The smartphone is confirmed to ship with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC.
  • RAM and storage: It will come with 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of onboard storage, which is further expandable up to 1TB. 
  • Cameras: OnePlus Nord CE4 could feature 50MP and 8MP rear cameras with a 16MP front camera. The brand has also confirmed a RAW HDR camera for the phone. 
  • Battery, charging: The smartphone is confirmed to offer 100W SUPERVOOC fast charging technology. This could be paired with a 5,500mAh battery. 

Motorola Edge 50 Pro

Launch date: Motorola Edge 50 Pro is scheduled to launch in India on April 3rd. 

Expected price: Motorola Edge 50 Pro is expected to be priced under Rs 50,000 in India. 

Key specifications (expected)

  • Display: Motorola Edge 50 Pro is confirmed to feature a 6.7-inch pOLED 1.5K display with a 144Hz refresh rate, 2,000 nits peak brightness, HDR10+ and an in-display fingerprint sensor. 
  • Processor: The smartphone is also confirmed to feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC.
  • RAM and storage: It is expected to come with up to 12GB of RAM.
  • Cameras: Motorola Edge 50 Pro will house a 50MP primary telephoto camera with OIS, 30X hybrid zoom, and a 13MP macro + ultrawide camera at the back. For selfies, the smartphone will come with a 50MP front camera. 
  • Battery, charging: The smartphone is confirmed to offer 125W wired fast charging, and 50W wireless charging, which could be paired with a 4,500mAh battery.

Realme 12x 5G 

Launch date: After debuting in China, the Realme 12x 5G will now be making its way to India on April 2nd. 

Expected price: Realme has officially announced that the 12x 5G will be priced under Rs 12,000 in India. 

Key specifications (expected)

  • Display: Realme 12x 5G is confirmed to feature a 6.72-inch FHD+ 120Hz display with a peak brightness of 950 nits.
  • Processor: The smartphone will be powered by the 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ 5G chipset.
  • RAM and storage: It comes with 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage
  • Cameras: It will house a dual rear camera setup with a 50MP primary camera. The smartphone will most likely house an 8MP front camera for selfies.  
  • Battery, charging: It’s also confirmed to pack a 5,000mAh battery with 45W fast charging technology. 

Realme C65 

Launch date: Realme Vietnam announced on Instagram that the C65 smartphone will launch there on April 4th. The Realme C65 will also be available in the Philippines, Malaysia, Bangladesh, and Indonesia soon. There’s no official word on an India launch yet. 

Expected price: There’s no leak yet on the possible pricing of the Realme C65 but since it’s a budget phone, it will most likely fall within Rs 10,000.

  • Display: Realme C65 is expected to feature a 6.72-inch FHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate.
  • Processor: The smartphone could be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6020 SoC.
  • RAM and storage: Realme C65 is tipped to launch in multiple variants with 4GB, 6GB, and 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.
  • Cameras: It’s expected to house a 50MP primary camera with an 8MP front camera.
  • Battery, charging: The Realme C65 is tipped to pack a 5000mAh battery and 45W fast charging support.

Infinix Note 40 Pro series

Launch date: The Infinix Note 40 Pro series is confirmed to launch in India in April. The launch date is yet to be revealed. It’s most likely the Infinix Note 40 Pro+ 5G and Note 40 Pro 5G launching in India. 

Expected price: There’s no word on the pricing yet but globally, the Infinix Note 40 Pro series starts at around Rs 24,000.

  • Display: The Infinix Note 40 Pro series features a 6.78-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. 
  • Processor: Both phones are powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7020 SoC.
  • RAM and storage: Infinix has launched the Note 40 Pro series with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage.
  • Cameras: The Infinix Note 40 Pro series features a 108MP + 2MP + 2MP rear camera setup, and a 32MP front camera.
  • Battery, storage: There’s a 4,600mAh battery with 100W charging support on the Infinix Note 40 Pro+, while the Pro 5G has a 5,000mAh cell with 45W All-Round FastCharge2.0. 

Realme GT Neo6 SE 

Launch date: Realme has started teasing the Realme GT Neo6 SE but it is yet to reveal the launch date. We’re expecting the Realme GT Neo6 SE to launch in April. 

Expected price: There’s no word on the expected pricing of the Realme GT Neo6 SE yet. 

Key specifications (expected)

  • Display: Realme GT Neo6 SE is expected to feature a 6.78-inch display. Its confirmed details include 1.5K resolution, 6,000 nits of peak brightness, and 00% DCI-P3 colour gamut, and Super HDR or Pro-XDR ultra-high dynamic range support.
  • Processor: The smartphone is confirmed to house the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 processor.
  • RAM and storage: Realme might launch the phone with up to 16GB of RAM. 
  • Cameras: It is also expected to sport a 50MP primary camera on a triple camera setup, and a 16MP front camera. 
  • Battery, charging: The smartphone is tipped to pack a 5,500mAh battery with 100W fast charging support.
