OnePlus Nord 4 design & specifications leaked ahead of July 16th launch

The OnePlus Nord series in India comprises the OnePlus Nord CE4, which launched back in April and the OnePlus Nord CE4 Lite, which launched recently. The final entrant to the series, the OnePlus Nord 4, is set to launch globally on 16th July. Just a few weeks before its launch, the design and key specifications of the smartphone were revealed by an X (formerly Twitter) user. Check out the details below: 

OnePlus Nord 4 design and specifications tipped

X user Ashok Mor (@_techibee) has shared alleged design shots and key specifications of the upcoming OnePlus Nord 4. The design reveal aligns with previous rumours about the all-metal body design of the upcoming Nord. The smartphone sports a dual-tone metal body design with two horizontally placed camera modules, along with a dual flash unit on the right edge. 

The device has curved metal edges and the signature Alert slider placed along the left side. The volume buttons, power button and SIM card tray are coloured white, which makes for a nice contrast with the black metal body. The display sports thin bezels with a punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera. On top, you can find an IR blaster, a noise-cancelling mic and a secondary speaker. 

OnePlus Nord 4 specifications (tipped)

The tipster has also revealed the key specifications of the upcoming Nord 4. These are as follows:

  • Display: As per the tipster, the smartphone features a 6.74-inch 1.5K resolution display which refreshes at 120Hz and has a peak brightness level of 2150nits. 
  • Processor: The Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 chipset is tipped to power the smartphone. 
  • Rear camera: A 50MP primary camera paired with an 8MP Sony IMX335 ultrawide lens. 
  • Front camera: The smartphone might feature a 16MP Sony sensor at the front for selfies and video calls.  
  • Battery: A 5,500mAh battery with 100W fast charging support is likely to power the smartphone. 
  • Software: Android 14 with 3 years of major upgrades and 4 years of software updates
  • Other features: In-screen fingerprint sensor, dual speakers, 5G support, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, IR Blaster, X-axis linear motor, and Alert Slider. 

Looking at the expected specifications, the OnePlus Nord 4 features an upgraded chipset, a larger 5500mAh battery and faster 100W charging compared to its predecessor, the OnePlus Nord 3. It also comes with upgraded wireless connectivity with the latest Bluetooth 5.4 and Wi-Fi 6 support.
