New orange Rangers third kit for season 2024/25 ‘leaked’ as fans say ‘Irn Bru gonna sue somebody’

RANGERS fans don’t have much to look forward to at the moment.

After the weekend defeat to Celtic, the Ibrox side have surrendered all rational hope of clawing the league title back from their rivals.

A first look at the ‘leaked’ Rangers third kit for 2024/25

Apart from the Scottish Cup final in a fortnight’s time, all the Rangers support want is for the season to end and the summer transfer window to open ahead of the next campaign.

One thing fans normally get excited for are new strips and so far we’ve seen leaked versions of potential home and away tops for Gers in 2024/25.

But a controversial orange kit is something that, if early reactions are anything to go by, punters are far from enthused by.

FootyHeadlines released imagery of a top that is claimed to be part of the club’s new third kit.

The shirt is predominantly orange with a blue collar and blue coffs on the sleeves, plus a series of blue dots scattered around on the chest and stomach.

The Rangers crest and the sponsorship logos for Castore and Unibet are on the front of the jersey in white.

Fans on social media have been sharing their opinions.

One punter said: “Irn Bru gonna sue somebody.”

Another likened the top to the screen one sees when trying to buy seats at a match or concert.

One Rangers fan said: “I actually didn’t mind it until someone said it looks like seat availability when booking tickets for a concert and now I hate it.”

And another said: “Hate to be that guy, but that is absolutely s****.”

A third wrote: “I can read braille and I believe that top says ‘We are fucking s****’.”

Another said simply: “I do not care for this.”

While this fan ranted: “A shirt so loud it has its own siren. Is it going to do that thing on TV like an old CRT screen with the colour turned up too high, and all the shirts leave an orange smear across the screen as the players run around? Brings back bad memories of Dundee United.

“At least no Rangers fans will get lost in a crowd/an avalanche/the dark.”

While some might believe an orange kit would be popular with fans (much like the kit made for the Europa League final in Seville and the orange top from the 2002/03 campaign), some feel it’s gone too far and this one is the last straw.

This fan wrote: “Are we just hoovering up Castore’s spare orange fabric? Three years in a row now of orange 3rd kits after barely featuring the colour in our history.”

And finally, this worried supporter said: “This has to be a joke, right…?”
