A NEW Bluey experience is coming to Alton Towers this year, as CBeebies Land celebrates its 10th anniversary.
The Blue Heeler dog from Brisbane is expected to be ready in time for Easter.
Bluey is due to be available for character interactions in the Staffordshire theme park’s CBeebies Land from March 23.
Bianca Sammut, divisional director for Alton Towers Resort, said: “As a fellow Australian, I am personally very excited to welcome Bluey to the resort.
“I know this joy and excitement will be shared by so many families across the UK.
“The 2024 season will mark the 10th anniversary of CBeebies Land and Bluey’s arrival is one of many ways we are looking to make it memorable for young guests and their families.”
Natasha Spence, head of attractions and live events at BBC Studios, added: “Bluey has captured the hearts of children and adults alike all over the world and we are delighted that our much-loved brand is coming to CBeebies Land for guests to enjoy.”
The Emmy and Bafta-winning Bluey is the top show on the BBC’s children’s TV channel.
It is created and written by Joe Brumm and produced by Ludo Studio for the Australian Broadcasting Corporation and BBC Studios.
Bluey will also be moving to Kew Gardens and Wakehurst, in Sussex, in the spring.
Kew has promised families some “interactive activities inspired by the show” that are “guaranteed to deliver laughter, discovery and lots of fun”.
Kids can also learn about the plants and wildlife found both at Kew and in Bluey’s native Australia during their visit.
Both botanical gardens will be home to interactive experiences based on the hit animated TV show.
The Bluey experience will be available at Kew from March 29 until April 14, and at Wakehurst from March 27 through April 14.
While over in the US, an immersive experience inspired by the popular TV show is coming to Camp in Chicago later this year, following a sold-out launch in Los Angeles.
In August 2024, a year-round Bluey experience, called Bluey’s World, is due to open in Brisbane, Australia.
Since launching in Australia in 2018, Bluey has gained millions of fans around the world, ranks as the number 1 show on CBeebies in the UK and has been streamed over 450million times since it launched on BBC iPlayer.
It also holds as a top rating series in the US, Australia, UK,
France, Spain, Portugal, Germany and Italy.
CBeebies Land opened in 2014 includes a host of attractions such as Hey Duggee Big Adventure Badge, Andy’s Adventures Dinosaur Dig, and JoJo & Gran Gran At Home, plus Go Jetters Vroomster Zoom ride, In the Night Garden Magical Boat Ride, Postman Pat Parcel Force, Something Special Sensory Garden and Octonauts Rollercoaster Adventure.
