On the personal front, on April 14, two unidentified men on a motorcycle fired four rounds outside Salman Khan’s residence at Galaxy Apartments in Bandra, Mumbai. Fortunately, no one was injured during the incident, as Khan was safe inside his home. The Mumbai Police attributed the attack to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, and have arrested six individuals connected to the case. Investigations continue as authorities seek to uncover further details surrounding the attack.
According to PTI, an accused in the firing incident outside Bollywood actor Salman Khan’s residence on Wednesday alleged that a prison doctor asked for money to treat his fractured finger. Harpal Singh, arrested for his alleged role in the April incident, made the allegation before judge B D Shelke when he was produced before the special court for Maharashtra Control of Organized Crime Act (MCOCA) here through video link.
The court directed the chief medical officer (CMO) of Taloja jail, where Singh is lodged, to submit a report, and also asked the jail authorities to provide necessary treatment to the accused. Police, who claimed that the Lawrence Bishnoi gang was behind the attack, have arrested six people in the case so far.
On Wednesday, Singh informed the court that he had been suffering from a fracture in the ring finger of his right hand for the past eight months. He alleged that the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) demanded Rs 10,000 to refer him to a “higher center” for treatment. The court requested a report by October 7. Additionally, Mohammad Chaudhary, another accused, mentioned having an infection in his right leg, prompting the court to direct the CMO to provide him with medical treatment.
